Deliberately inspired to GapMinder, it represents the evolution of multivariate data in time by means of coloured bubbles of variable sizes on an (x,y) plot.

Differently from GapMinder, MooGraph is built using only open source libraries, and processes data in SDMX format (at the moment the support is limited), JSON and GnuPlot. Data can be directly added in the local data source.

MooGraph is written in ActionScript3 and Adobe Flex. It is a Flash application which can be run on any web browser. A self-installing stand-alone version, built with the suite Adobe Air, is available for MacOS, Linux and Windows operating systems. In order to install and run the software it is necessary to download Adobe Air from the website http://get.adobe.com/air

MooGraph is currently being used, together with other interactive graphics technologies, as a component of IET (Economic Territorial Interface), a platform for integrating geodata and statistical datasets of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

HOW-TO INSTALL

1. Download Adobe Air from http://get.adobe.com/air/
2. Installing Adobe Air on pc
3. Download the program MooGraph
4. Double-click the file MindGapperAir.air to install
